My initial thoughts were to photograph such things as leaves, trees, orange sunset etc. However I then started to think more about what actually happens during autumn instead of what people think autumn 'looks' like.
As soon as I could, I grabbed my camera and went on a walk around my local area which is in the heart of Cheshire. There were hundreds of trees, many thousands of leaves scattered around and other autumnal matters however, after taking some photographs I realised that this is not what I think autumn is about. I then went away and thought harder. Below are some images from that walk.
There is an overall idea that the colour associated with autumn is orange, this is a valid assumption in my eyes because this is the colour that first comes to mind for me when I think of autumn. I wanted to try and incorporate this colour into my images some how. I then brainstormed some ideas about what I could photograph.
Finally I have cone up with a good idea for my final photograph, this involved me researching into the idea 'Halloween'. From this I decided to focus on one part of Halloween, one of the events that Autumn has to offer, this specific thing is the pumpkin. I have found a farm which grows and sells pumpkins and have decided to go down to the farm and see what I can photograph. Below are some research examples of what I intend to photograph.

The thing that I really like about the above image is the colour that flows through the image, it really gives the autumnal feel to the photograph. I also like the large depth of field because you can see, in focus, the very vibrant sunset as well as the main subject which are the pumpkins.
I will keep my blog up to date with the photographs that I take at the pumpkin farm...
The below image is one that I took this time last year, although it isn't relevant for this project so much I have decided to blog it because I think that it shows 'Autumn' through the colour and setting of the photograph.
